The People
Reed’s Story
When we visited Colorado, we met a young man named Reed. He’s
seventeen, born and raised in Colorado and ready to take on the
world. He has big dreams of going off to college somewhere, getting
a degree, and then coming back home to Colorado to work and to start
a family. But Reed has something in common with over half of the
people in Colorado. He doesn’t go to church.
He went to a church for the first time on
Christmas Eve, but still does not understand how much Jesus loves
and forgives him. The Denver Metro and Front Range are filled with
about one million people just like Reed: real people longing for a
real life and ready to make a real difference. That’s what the Mile
High Project is all about: making a real difference in the life of
Reed and the thousands of people like him.
